Photo heavy post for the new year
Happy New Year! So here are just some random photos of a day with the kids. As much as I love them, boy am I glad they go back to school on Monday! Don't get me wrong, it's been nice, but they are to the point where they are fighting all of the time. And with all this snow that we've gotten I think we're all going a little stir crazy. But with the snow came some sledding fun. Nonni and Pop pop bought the kids new sleds for Christmas and they have been quite excited to use them. Once they wore themselves out they headed in for craft time.

Football Superstar
Once again it is time for fall flag football. Hayden had his first game Monday night and played pretty darn well considering had hadn't had any practices in. He scored the only touchdown in the game right in the beginning. Looks like that BSU football camp paid off, thanks to Papa Tim. I'm not bragging at all am I? Well what can I say...I am definately a proud mama! And I'm sorry to say this is just the beginning, we have a whole season ahead of us with tackle to follow.

Picking Flowers?

We had such a pretty morning, that the girls and I headed out to the front yard to play for a bit. After some beading Grace decided that she wanted to pick some flowers... or what she considered flowers. She was so cute that I didn't have the heart to tell her that most of them were weeds. Now I have a "nice" little flower arrangement on my fire place mantle and Grace couldn't be happier with herself. So what could make a better display than that!
"Gracie-ism's"
Kids just say the darndest things! And when your 5 years they seem to come by the handfuls. So I have what I like to call Gracie-ism's, which are some of the crazy things that Grace (my middle child) has to say. Some of them are quite logical but still crack me up. Most of them I seem to forget so I thought that maybe I'd start writing them down and years down the road I can look back and remember just how cute she really is.
It's been 9 days since Abby had her tonsils out, so I thought it would be a good thing for her to run around and get shake some of her sillys out. For some reason Abby really likes to run, jump and just flop on the ground. I would think it would hurt just a bit, but she seems to get a kick out of it. Given the circumstance I told Abby that it might not be such a good idea to be doing that right now, since technically she is still recovering. So Grace wanted to know why and I told her about how Abby still has scabs in her thought that could potentially bleed.
Grace: How do they take your tonsils out?
Bridget: Well, you go to the hospital to the surgery department. The nurse there gives you some medicine to make you sleepy. Then they take you to the surgery room where the doctor puts a little tube in your throat to help you breath and then cuts your tonsils out with a little knife, but you don't feel anything because of the medicine they gave you to help you sleep.
(So Grace thinks to herself for a minute and looks at me with a somewhat puzzled look)
Grace: But mom, how do they put your throat back together???
I couldn't help but laugh! But thinking about it, it really isn't that crazy of a question. So I proceeded to tell her that they don't actually cut your throat open to take them out. They take them out through your mouth. She seemed satisfied by that answer and then took off to go play with Abby.

I have to say that I have three of the most beautiful kids...but I'm not biased at all am I? But in all actuality they are wonderful so I just had to post a few pics of them on here. Poor Grace, my middle child, I ahven't gotten any of her recently. She was passed out on the couch when I took these of Abby yesterday. But I will definately get some of her soon!
